Shy small business owners?

Would any of you shy small business owners be willing to write about your experiences in running a small business? Does shyness get in the way of pursuing your goals? If so, how do you work with it? How has your shyness been a plus? What do you think are the strengths of shyness in running a small business? I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts, if you'd be willing to share them.

  2. I do magic shows part time, and boy does that require overcoming some shyness! One of the most often named fears is speaking in front of a group, and while I am not speaking extemporaneously when I perform, every time you get in front of an audience you do feel you are being evaluated. Plus there is some socializing before and after the show.

  3. I can see how performing magic shows would be a great way to do something important in the face of shyness! And to watch the shyness reduce over time. What a neat idea, and you are contributing so much in terms of fun and enjoyment for other people. Sorry have been away from posting for a while!
